Laura Vaillant is currently a stay at home mother of 3 young boys – Kyle 5, Joshua 3 and Daniel almost 1.          Laura grew up in Suffield and went to high school in Medicine Hat.  She was a member of the first SEAVC (South East Alberta Volleyball Club) started up in Medicine Hat.  That was her first taste of club volleyball.  She went on to graduate from the University of Calgary, with a Bachelor Degree in Commerce.  While attending school, she had the opportunity to play on a co-ed adult club volleyball team, at the university, for 4 years.
Once school was completed, Laura had the opportunity to coach the Cochrane High School Senior Boys team for a season and caught the bug for coaching.  She joined the Jaguars in late 2004 and coached the U14 Girls Volleyball team for 2 seasons – topped off with a gold medal, in Division 2 Tier 3, at the 2006 Western Canadian Open in Saskatoon.  She then coached the U15 Fusion team to a Bronze medal in Division 3 at the 2007 Western Canadian Open in Calgary.  She coached the U17 team in 2008 before taking a year off to have her third child.  Laura has been an active member of the Jaguars Executive including being the Club Chairperson for the past 3 years
Laura also had the opportunity to participate, as an assistant coach, in the Indoor Volleyball at the 2006 Alberta Summer Games.  She is a fully certified Level 2 Coach in both volleyball and softball and is also a carded referee.  She has enjoyed the sport of volleyball for 25 years and looks forward to a very exciting season ahead!
