Meet Our Coaches
Starting my volleyball career I played with Canada West Elite, Elite, and two years of Cochrane Jags as a Middle to start, then a setter.
I had the opportunity to be coached by some very technical coaches right off the bat, which gave me a strong base to understand the mechanics of Volleyball.
I was certified as a Referee in high school and have just completed my 8th season. I am a level three Regional referee, and I have reffed ACAC College and CIS University matches. I have also taken on a role as an evaluator for many of the club tournaments that I work. During this time I help coach other referees to improve their performance. To date I have refereed over 1,000 matches.
While I am relatively young in my coaching career, I have seen a LOT of volleyball. I have a strong sense of mechanics, and I’ve witnessed many matches where the coach does not use the match to coach their teams, they just sit, watch, and do not intervene at the necessary times. I will not be one of those coaches. I look forward to growing and teaching with my girls, and continuing to be a Jag.
